About this tour
Known as the “Thailand of Albania”, Shala River is an isolated gem in the Albanian Alps, accessible by boat. This full-day trip combines round-trip minibus transport, a cruise through the emerald gorges of Lake Koman and leisure time for swimming, walking to viewpoints, zip-lining or a traditional meal at riverside guesthouses.

Day 1 · Hotel pickup
Pickup in Tirana between 05:00–06:00; official group departure at 06:00.
Day 1 · Drive to Komani Lake Terminal
A scenic drive north to the terminal.
Day 1 · Fjord cruise across Lake Koman
Approximately 1 hour by boat through gorges and limestone cliffs.
Day 1 · Free time at Shala River
Approximately 3–4 hours for swimming, relaxing on pebble beaches, walking or lunch at mountain restaurants.
Day 1 · Return to Tirana
Return by boat across Komani Lake and transfer to Tirana, arriving in the evening.
